Angry Barcelona fans storm training ground, blame Griezman for Messi’s exit
Barcelona fans this morning stormed the club’s training ground.
They targeted Antoine Griezmann with their abuse, as he drove into the facility.
One of them yelled that it is “his fault” that Lionel Messi will not be staying at the club.
Barca announced on Thursday that negotiations with Messi have broken down and he will be leaving this summer.
Although the club cited their financial situation as the major reason behind the 34-year-old’s exit, Griezmann was one of the players they had hoped to move on this summer in order to save wages.
At a point it seemed the France forward would return to Atletico Madrid, but that transfer never materialised.
As Griezmann pulled into Barca’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground, fans could be heard shouting and jeering in his direction.
