Romelu Lukaku boards private jet to complete Chelsea transfer
Romelu Lukaku has boarded a private jet to complete his transfer to Chelsea.
The 28-year-old has also made a promise to Inter Milan supporters, who he leaves after two years in Italy.
Having left Stamford Bridge in 2014 after just 15 appearances in three years, the Blues are set to stump up £97.5million to bring the striker back to west London.
Lukaku scored 66 times in 97 matches for Inter, helping them win the Serie A title in May before manager Antonio Conte left the cash-strapped club.
The Belgian will now follow in what has been somewhat of a mass exodus in the blue half of Milan this summer.
Fabrizio Romano reported Lukaku’s departure from the airport after he completed the first part of his medical.
The Italian journalist also quoted what the ex-Manchester United man said amid of a swarm of press.
“I’m gonna send a message [to Inter fans] soon,” revealed Lukaku.
