Abia community kicks as soldier kills 28-year-old man

The Ovim community, in the Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, is in turmoil after a soldier allegedly killed a 28-year-old man, Chinonso Nwachukwu.

Residents told Punch Metro that the soldier, who was in the company of his colleagues, invaded the community around 9pm on Monday.

They were said to have accused the late Nwachukwu of blocking their way.

While the victim reportedly stood up to give way for them, one of the military officers allegedly shot him in the head, killing him on the spot.
