‘Too many passengers at Heathrow Airport has led the travel hub to cancel or move 30 of its flights this morning, impacted hundreds if not thousands of customers.
More flights from Heathrow Airport have been cancelled this morning due to the airport having more passengers that its capacity allows.
At least 30 flights have been scrapped or moved from the London travel hub today, with hundreds of passengers likely to be affected.
Last night the airport’s bosses told 20 of its biggest carriers to move 30 flights from today’s morning slot, it has been reported.
They had realised that the terminals would not be able to cope with the high number of passengers coming through.
At least 5,000 travellers are understood to have been impacted this morning.
Would-be passengers who found themselves bumped off their flights took to social media to express their anger.
“Total chaos at Heathrow this morning,” one tweeted, “BA flights cancelled and zero customer service!”
