World record holder Tobi Amusan has arrived in Nigeria.
So far it has been Amusan’s best season of her career.
Amusan touched down in Lagos on Tuesday and was warmly received.
Sports lovers and fans of Amusan turned out in their numbers to give her a well-deserved homecoming.
Amusan arrived in Nigeria wearing a black sleeveless top and a green pair of trousers.
She is Nigeria’s first-ever gold winner at the World Athletics Championship. Her impressive run began in September 2021 when she won her first Diamond League final trophy.
In June 2022, she won the African Championships title in 100m hurdles.
She topped it with a world record-breaking feat in July 2022 by running the 100m hurdles in 12:12 seconds at the semi-finals of the World Championships in Oregon, United States, and also won gold at the final.
